Exhiled from the planet, Quentas, with his guardian when just an infant, Michael Stellan spent his whold life evading assassins and hiding his true identity. But he finds he can't hide from the woman he loves. When she sacrifices all to return with him to his home world, will he have the courage, fortitude and strength of will to rally an enslaved people and win back the throne?

Son of the Star came to me in a dream...actually a series of dreams. Back in the 1980's I followed several television series quite faithfully, but somehow some aspect of the stories seemed to be missing. It was as if the main character's real life had been forgotten in the bid for commericalism. Yet, the main character was demanding his say.
And so, night after night I dreamed his life, his challenges, his struggles, his heartbreaks and his triumphs. By day, the night images stayed with me demanding to be examined, written down and fleshed out. When I say my dreams pursue me...I'm not kidding. This one wouldn't let me go. It had a life on it's own and was demanding to breathe.
Thus began the journey, the adventure into the unknown world of Quentas. I learned about an enslaved people begging for release, about a resistance teetering on the brink of collapse, about a love between an alien prince and the woman from Earth who sacrificed all to join him...and about their struggle to make liberty his home world's reality.
I am thrilled to present Son of the Star for your reading enjoyment.
