Lacy MacIntyre loves a good mystery. When she inherits an enigmatic artifact, her world turns upside down and she's racing against the clock in a Broch Marathon across Scotland to solve the puzzle.
I've spent the last few months in a major writing mode that has resulted in a new book manuscript entitled Man in the Mirror. I originally thought it would just be a short story, but my husband kept insisting it would be longer. As I kept writing, the story kept spinning until before I knew it...it had some heft to it.
My husband and I have been to Scotland on several occassions with a trip back to Edinburgh planned for January. I suppose it was all the organizing I've had to do on our joint book Compendium of Scottish Silver that got my flights of fancy off the ground. Once that manuscript had been turned in, the itch to write MIM was so bad, I could hardly stand it...and my writing marathon took off.
Unlike my other books, this one I plan to submit to a literary agency. My other books have received excellent reviews from critics, so it's time for me to believe in my ability and the charm of my latest novel.
