I'm not a regular talk radio listener and I'm certainly not someone who follows Rush Limbaugh's every word.
However; when radio host Glenn Beck introduced his 9/12 - project he woke my curiosity about the principles this great county was built upon and the risks of loosing them. This is not about bi-partisanship or which administration has done/will do the most damage/good. This book is about America and its building stones carefully placed by the forefathers.
As a foreigner I have been in search of literature which could explain this country in its greatness, without having to pick-up up a history book. I must thank Mr. Skousen for writing The 5000 Year Leap, and the radio host Glenn Beck for talking about it and bringing it to my attention. I'm in the process of becoming an American; a process that elevates my pride beyond anything I have ever experienced. The deep integrity The 5000 Year Leap has been written with only fuels such pride.
Every American should read this book. Know your history and know what could be at stake. Learn how our constitution became what it is and then give The 5000 Year Leap to your neighbor, friend and your kid's teacher. Then, sit down and discuss the principles this great Nation was founded on and (very critically) check your own list-to-live-by of such principles.
