Dr. Obadiah Jack Jackson acts like Indiana Jones, but has the uber wise-cracking ability of Nelson DeMille's John Corey, and that's a good combo.
Jack as he is called, seems to make deals for the highest bidder, what to go after next, and he has been asked to go to Malaysia to rescue a Christian missionary.
Jackson and his motley crew (including a dog) run to save the day!
Problem is - there are lots of jenglots around - they are little vampire-like shape-shifter creatures that seem to be running amok - the local witch-doctor says it's because the natives are foresaking the old religion and listening to the Christian missionary -
People are starting to die!
Those jenglots are not nice - and Jackson was also as an aside assignment asked to bring one of those little nasties back to have them studied...
This read is a lot of fun - always love to have an animal in the mix (not in danger areas), a fun hero who spits, swears and smokes stinky cigars and is a cutie as well as brave. His team of experts are also together so long they are as quirky as their leader, but it all works beautifully.
A fun read, and it sets you up for The ENIGMA Directive Book 2 SIREN'S SONG.
I can't wait for further adventures - a fun read!
