When I think of God’s majesty, I think of gigantic oceans, the insurmountable mountains, rocks hills, the heavens and the third heavens, the beauty of creativity all displayed in perfect grandeur. The awesome universe, the galaxies, the planets, the moon, the stars, wonders in the sea, mysteries beyond the grave…okay I give up. My finite mind cannot fathom the magnitude of His majesty. God’s majesty cannot be defined within the realms of might alone because it is evident in the minute things as well. As a matter of fact, it is those minute things that make God’s majesty so awesome.
God’s majesty is contained not in words but in unspoken order, and silent wonder. A case in point is the mystery behind the resurgence of the plant in the spring after it has undergone trauma and shock as a result of the frigidity of winter. What about the incredible mind blowing biblical accounts of miracles, like the parting of the red sea?
Life itself is a mysterious phenomenon that clearly stands as an attestation to the might, magnitude and majesty of God. Who but an awesome God dares create life from dust?
When I think of His majesty, I know that it transcends the galaxies known to man. There exists unmapped regions of the universe that will remain a mystery because they transcend the realms of human imagination. There are awesome wonders in the sea and below the sea level that defy human comprehension.
God’s majesty cannot be confined, defined ,contained or fathomed. The characteristic of His majesty is the very fact that it knows no bounds or limits. It is eternal; it is amazing, it will always leave me speechless, dumbfounded and contemplative as I stand in awe of Him.
