We call the Bettingers Mr. and Mrs. Showbiz because of their diverse talents. They are passionate about bringing back the Golden Age of Radio in their own show, “The Mom & Pop Shop,” which airs on DreamStream radio. George is an actor, comedian, producer, writer and director. He’s won acclaim for his uncanny impressions including Groucho Marx, George Burns and The Three Stooges. Lizette is a versatile actress who also has experience as a soprano with the Metropolitan Opera.
George and Lizette display more of their dramatic than comic talents in “Two Christmases,” but that’s because they’re reading the bittersweet section of our memoir, before all the fun begins in Las Vegas. Producer Nikki Starr says, “It’s a beautiful show – I even teared up listening. I loved it!”
It Had To Be Us won first place in the Ebook category at the Hollywood Book Festival a few years ago and is now being adapted for the screen by filmmaker Misha Zubarev, who has shown extraordinary dedication to this project. We’re very happy about that, of course.
But who should play Harry and Elizabeth in the movie version? Brainstorm along with us, dear readers.
