In this work, the author touches upon themes such as love and loss, but also has elements of nature and the passage of time. In "Time Says," the author draws a parallel between the passage of time and the end of a relationship.
Time says
Goodbye
Standing there
Fake stones
Avoiding the sun
My face
Shocked by
The coldness
Of the air
Stood silent
And fell
To pieces
Likewise in "Through the River," natural elements are used to embrace the somber tone of her mood.

That I left
Behind
Suddenly
Drift along
A boat that sails
Through
The river
Of my mind
