Jessica's third book signing

Nine-year-old Jessica Bernard will sign copies of her third book "Sarah Turns the World Upside Down" at 4G's Bookstore and Café, 384 Cedar Lane, Sept. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.

"Sarah Turns the World Upside Down" is the story of an African-American little girl named Sarah who dreamed of becoming President of the United States and change the world by turning it from bad to good. With hard work Sarah grew up and became President of the United States and turns the world upside down. After Sarah left office her continued to work hard to help people in other countries.

Except from the book: "When Sarah was 8 years old, she made a list of things she wanted to do when she became President. The list said: When I am President, I will: End all wars; Find homes for the homeless; Give everyone in the country free medical cards; Provide clothes for and feed the poor."

Jessica has written two other books entitled "Rubert the Jumping Duck" and "Rubert the Jumping Duck Goes on Vacation". These books are for children from kindergarten to third grade. Jessica has added poetry to her writing. Her next book, "This Moment," will include her complete list of poetry. As an introduction to her work, she has included a few of her poems in "Sarah Turns the World Upside Down."

Jessica is the recipient of the 2009 Jr. Youth Award for her literary work and her contribution to her community. Her goal is to continue to attend events with children to speak and answer questions and just letting them know that they can be anything they want to be.
