This election year is promised to be the year of change. This is one political promise that could very well come true. One thing is for certain, there will be a new President of the United States of America in January, 2009. The Democrats will definitely make history. It will be a different America that is for sure but will it signify any Christian Biblical prophecy? That will remain to be seen and some people will definitely think that it will.

I would like to explore that idea a little. I personally do not think that any outcome of this election will signify any end time prophecy. There are many instances in the Bible that tells us not to even try to figure it out. An example of this is in Luke 17: 26-29 NIV where Jesus is talking to his disciples, and he said "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. There are many instances such as this in the Bible. We are warned many times that only He knows when the end will be.

The "One World Order" is real, and it is in the making right now. This has more to do with our United Nations than anything else. When the entire world is using one type of currency you will know that the Bible prophecies are coming to pass. Some say that one currency is the mark of the beast, others have more cryptic views of the mark. Many people genuinely believe that the mark (which does signify end times) will be forced upon us. Some say that we will be tricked into taking the mark by hiding the mark under a disguise such as a social security number. This is not true, you will have a choice. You will be told to choose between the mark and Christ. That is if you are still here.

Now, one may look at my opinion and assume that I am crazy or a Jesus freak and that is OK. I am fine with that. I do know that according to the Bible, the beast comes out of the Roman Empire and NOT the United States. We may live in the greatest country in the world but that really is also a matter of opinion. God has his plan and we are all mere humans who must learn to look and listen in order to observe the real signs of the times.
