"For a man of two minds hesitates, doubts, he is unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything he thinks, feels and desires. " James 1:8
Getting your faith working is just as difficult as losing weight, exercising or any other change you are trying to incorporate into your life. It needs to be worked on daily. Building muscle or building a business does not happen overnight so be patient and commited to growing and maturing your Faith.
Like anything else in life we sometimes use excuses on why things are not happening in our lives. It is not that we are unable to strengthen our faith it is we are unwilling. Until you want to change the way you live results will never appear. Laziness is a hinderance that will prevent faith from gowing inside. Just wishing for something to happen does not produce success. Get off the couch, stop blaming others or society or the news and take responsibility for your life. Action and effort builds character, strength and results. I've never seen a successful person say that complaining, whining, and worry were the ingredients that brought abundance into their lives.
Once your faith is strong you will realize it is the backbone of everything you do. It combats the storms of doubt, fear and deception. Without it you will never be satisfied, never grateful and never be able to serve others with the true love of God. If you begin to feel overburdened and full of worry think to yourself where will you find help? What is the resource to bring you out of the pit of misery and woe? If you are diligent and your faith is now strong you will know the answer. Resting your troubles in the arms of God and staying in his territory is your salvation.
Follow Peters faith as he says, "Casting the whole of your care, your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns once and for all on him, for he cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully."- 1 Peter
