Stress

Coping with the stress of modern living.

Stress

Modern living is stressful. Rude drivers, lines that come to a standstill, noises that invade our thoughts, intrusions into our privacy, and our forever struggle with time management increases in intensity daily. If we are to survive we must find a center of focus and serenity beneath the daily insanity. We need a refuge, a quiet place where we can draw near to the heart of our Lord. Sometimes that seems impossible, but all things are possible with God. In Hebrews 13:5 he says, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." In the annoying traffic jam, God is there. When the line stops moving for the transaction that never seems ends, God is there.

Psalm 91:4b

"And under His wings you may seek refuge."
