My novel has offended the people I care about the most, my family. This is not an apology.
From indignation, to abusive, childish e-mails, my immediate family disapproves of a book that they may not have read with care and therefore, misinterpreted what I was writing about. This sadly defines every bad character trait since the time of man seen through extreme characters releflecting the mores of today's society in this novel. The book has no traditional family values or strong Christian ethic, the foundation of life. This is the "extreme", but so many today are sadly approaching this state from what I see, read and hear daily. This book was the most difficult thing I have ever written because it contains everything I personally despise. It is a "wake up call" to anyone (and I include myself) who falls prey to the underbelly of our rapidly financial and morally bankrupt society. Pray we never emulate the people portrayed in "Fill My Eyes". If we do, we are indeed--doomed. Let me emphasis, there are redeemable characters in this book in search of these cherised values deprived of from birth.
