MGMMirage Eyeballs Bader Field Property In Atlantic City
Gaming monolith MGMMirage's VP of Something or Another Alan Feldman told the New York Daily News that they are extremely interested in snagging the rights to build a casino on the recently closed Bader Field parcel in Atlantic City.
MGMMirage announced their plans for MGM Grand Atlantic City not but a month ago. MGMMirage joins Wynn Resorts as known suitors for the Bader Field tract that is currently in zoning limbo.
Two other Atlantic City operators have expressed dismay over the potential casino projects at Bader Field. Pinnacle Entertainment (owners of the recently imploded Sands Atlantic City) boss Dan Lee recently said that Pinnacle would pack their bags and leave AC if a casino project came to Bader Field. Revel Entertainment (who are to announce their plans for a Showboat adjacent joint on the boardwalk, November 7th - my 38th birthday... oh lordy Chuckmonster's almost 40!) put stipulations in their city contracts that new offramps to the AC Expressway would have to be built if Bader Field were to be developed.
All this hullabaloo about Bader Field is slowly turning into a heavy weight brawl with CEO's from every major gaming company involved. Steve Wynn, who recently engaged in a MMA match with China's long-deceased Chairman Mao, rear-naked-choked Pinnacle's Dan Lee by offering to buy the Sands AC site if Pinnacle goes crying back to their riverboats after Wynn Atlantic City is announced.
This sure is going be interesting.
