The Cliched Cliche is currently looking for short stories, poetry, articles, and art for its quarterly issues.
THE CLICHED CLICHE is a new quarterly fiction magazine that is looking for fiction of all kinds, art, poetry, essays, articles, and interviews. We publish in FREE downloadable, e-book format.
Our official website address can be found at:
http://www.grendelguy.com/cliche.html
And our very first premier issue is available for FREE download. Remember to check the guidelines because we do require you to subscribe to our free newsletter. We do this because we realize how important it is for writers to support each other and read each others' works, and the names are never given away to outside sources.
Fiction: All fiction should be short stories of a reasonable length, attached to an email as a .txt file or included in the email. Don't forget to include a short bio of yourself, too. We'll gladly accept simultaneous submissions. After all, you might not even get a rejection from us, so there's no point letting your short story lie fallow.
What does THE CLICHED CLICHE want? The good stuff. We're not publishing the boring crap that has beautiful page-long descriptions and deep complex thoughts about death without ever getting to any remotely interesting action because quite frankly, there are enough magazines out there publishing that. We WANT EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING THAT IS GOOD. It doesn't have to be horror -- it just has to be good.
Poetry: Just keep it dark and imaginative. All kinds will be considered.
Articles: WE REALLY WANT THESE. If you've got an original essay or--God willing--an interview with someone of some importance in the fiction/horror world, then send that bastard our way. I would LOVE any true stories about experiences in the writing and publishing world. The more interesting, the better. What is the state of fiction in nowadays? What experiences have you had in the fiction world? What was the nastiest rejection letter you've ever gotten? Ever been screwed over by a publisher or editor? All of this stuff is great for publishing. Just fix up your story so that it's professional-sounding to some degree.
Art: Always looking for something dark for the splash page, and then maybe around three or four more per issue. Keep it dark and make it as ugly or as pretty as you want.
Be sure to read over the guidelines page before submitting, and good luck!
