Thoughts on life from Sha'Tara...

Infinite Possibilities Viewed from a Finite Perspective

[voice from the Other Side - Sha'Tara]

What does it mean for those programmed to view their world (singular!) from a finite perspective to hear the term "infinite possibilities" regarding life?

Some of the most common responses to life on earth:

The hedonist: We are born for no purpose except to make the best of what life we are thrown into and we die: Case closed.

The religionist:  We were created by God to serve God.  If we believe in God, we go to heaven when we die.  If not, we go to hell.  Case closed.

The one in-between these extremes:  There is no way to know why we are here, so we do what seems best.  There is no way to know what happens when we die.  Case closed.

Less common, but gaining acceptance:  We are here to awaken or become enlightened.  We've been here many times before and will likely come back if we don't learn our lessons or pay back karma.  (The ones who generally administer the "lessons" can be spirit guides, angels, divinities, God or aliens.)

That's about it.  Pretty bleak and general.  And to make matters worse, these positions are correct.  They are part of the realm of infinite possibilities.  Which means we haven't even begun to tap what other "reasons" there may be for being "here" -- for being alive.  For being intelligent, sentient, self-aware.  For being able to reason a place and purpose in the grand scheme.  (Or for choosing not to.)

Belief systems were designed to limit choices, to control; to prevent ISSA minds from expanding and "seeing" too much and asking questions banned within any closed system.  When I discuss my understanding of life with belief system individuals I find great reluctance in even listening to what I have to say, even if I'm pretty convincing with some of my "stories."  It's as if my understanding was a direct challenge to another's personal belief.

My views may (and often do) challenge other positions.  They question the validity of existing beliefs,  and call a "time out" when the claims of such beliefs do not match the performance.  But all that is an aside.  The point is to demonstrate that any number of "beliefs" or possibilities regarding any subject, including - especially including - the future, not only can, but must, co-exist in any interaction within open-ended systems.

By observation, life is an open-ended system.  This means it moves on a constant flow of input from an endless field of beingness into an endless field of possibilities.  (I'm sure it's been stated better but that's the best I can do right now.)  That means any conflict we generate among ourselves in speaking of, say, the future, or the right and wrong of things, is a product of misunderstanding - of fear.  For example those who believe in one God and a heaven for the faithful fear I may be right.  "What then?"  Well, knowing that there can only be one end to this life according to their belief, I have to be wrong.  There can be no other option.  We cannot both be right, and since they cannot be wrong, I have to be. Otherwise their "faith" is for naught.  They could go to hell if they allowed that I could be right.  This remains "true " to them even if what I point out; what I say, is true .

That's not how it is.  All  choices are valid.   My choices are real choices within a real scenario.  My thoughts, dreams, visions, ideas, lead me in a certain direction within an infinite choice of roads Granted many of these roads must be discovered and assessed Some are difficult, some easy and some have to be cut out of the raw fabric of my share of life's process.  The Golden Path is more or less such a road.

People are programmed to see two basic paths: a right one and a wrong one.  And it has been left to "experts" to expound which one is right and which one is wrong.  That the experts are never in agreement doesn't seem to matter.  People will still kill each other over which is which.  How terribly simple it is to  control a race such as Earth people!  Invent a crude construct of simple opposites, then pit them against each other as enemies: God versus Satan. Good versus Evil. Black versus white. Communist versus capitalist.  Protestant versus Catholic.  Man versus woman.  Every thought, every deed is then categorized within these two extremes.  No one is allowed to escape the labels.  The rest follows - war on every front of Earthian interaction.  Competition; predatorship; judgment and condemnation.  And the inevitable result: death.

If earth people would discover health and long life, they must first break free of their limited, limiting, closed minded, closed-system thinking.  They must free themselves of their "divine" masters and their artificial "laws.  They must find self-empowerment and make that the object of their teachings and education at all levels.  The rest will most certainly follow.

Self-empowerment operates freely within the realm of infinite possibilities and expects things to manifest naturally.  It is highly imaginative.  On a world such at this one,  it can easily imagine such as: selflessness, peace, justice, respect, compassion, empathy.  It may even dare imagine love, however difficult and costly such a concept will prove to be.  (Yes, I deliberately use the future tense here: no one on earth understands the concept of love, which is "that which freely gives up its own life that another may live."  If love was understood here there would be no possibility of injustice; of oppression; of war, to name just three of man's most abject failures.)

The point to remember - and it is just as difficult for me to do as for anyone - is that life, of itself, is always neutral.  In the overall scheme of things, there is no right and wrong.  But such an awareness is easily perverted by ignorant, parochially-thinking people and therefore dangerous to expound upon.  Life may be neutral, but there is nothing "neutral" about those who make war to steal someone else's resources; who kill for profit, personal comfort or pleasure.  The avatar keeps these things in perspective.  Earth, although part of the flow of life, knows nothing of neutrality.  It is a world at war.  It is a world controlled at all levels of rulership by evil forces.

Who’s to say what’s black or white? Life was created to be cherished, shared, enjoyed, but since the fall of Adam, man is born in sin. Each has been given a Choice to choose! That determined the very nature of man. Who he is…What he will be… That choice is a decision as we see how life can be cruel, unmerciful, vague, gray instead of black and white. Compromise is evident and relevant so much so that satan can quote you 95% truth and add 5% of selfishness etc. and you can follow the wrong way from the wrong leader. God has given you a choice, who will you choose? The way might seem easier when you can compromise and go to the left or right whenever….but what follows - - “your sins will find you out…” “what you sow, you will reap". It sounds good to be a rebel, but in life, I'd rather have Jesus Christ with me than depend on my own sinful nature. Thank God we do have a choice!

Life is about choices, living, loving and faith. Much, is what we make it, but not all of it. Some things are beyond our control. Well written, but I can't agree with all thats said.......M

Darn it Reg, this needs some thinking out. There is so much food for thought that my first reading is not enough. So... it is a case of printing and digesting and reviewing. Will write later.

wow! this gives us a lot to think about. I feel that love is understood by some but not by "us" collectively, as you sort of point out, hence the wars, injustices, etc. if we are "good" because of God's teachings, Commandments, etc., and He is found to be real and true after death, then we have gained immeasurably have we not? if He is found not true, not real, how much have we lost by being or trying to be "good", decent, just, etc.? Hope this makes a little sense. Thanks for sharing.

This makes a great point, Reg. I guess I am a maverick but I chose to be what I am. For instance, did God carve Adam out of the sand or was that figurative speaking. Evolution does not disqualify the existance of God. It does give us pause to wonder. Did he slowly, carefully create all of life over a great amount of time? He will tell me. There will be times when I will do right by my conscience (the voice of god within) and there are times when I will stray. I need only believe at the end of the day he will embrace me.
God Bless,
Lew

Great thoughts Reg. The problem with most "systems" of belief is that they incorporate by accident, or design, what R.D. Laing coined as a double-bind in which you cannot really challenge the construct if you are part of it, and don't even understand that we cannot because the unwritten "rules" are that we cannot challenge even the rules. Your piece is quite complex and thoughtful. Thanks for sharing. Malcolm Watts

Reg - I can see by this article you have given much thought to what you write. However I might not agree with you, I respect your rights to have your philosophical beliefs...really.

I've always had many question, and will have more until I take my last breath, but have never strayed from my beliefs...nay, the knowledge in my heart.

Reg, I feel your a very evoloved soul searching like all of us for wisdom...I always allow everyone to embrace what they want..Mine is kinda diffrent, for it is a twist between the Shaman Native American spirituality to the other twist of redemption through the Savior and the cross..I embrace them both..I am very happy and fullfilled with those two...This sounds very intresting..I think i had studied many, dozens of everything from Budda to a scientology...I am happy this works for you this philosphy and faith...The key is for us to do unto mankind as we woul God..I see those wacko extremist in Jihad..They are wackos out of touch with reality...Love and harmony in any faith through teaching love, restortion, healing us and earth is what we should only strive for..Watch for the religous extremist..God never wanted that..Healing to the children and her mother earth is our goal...

I think that the human condition of what you've talked about in your article is accurate to a point and I agree with a lot of the things that you discussed. I often wonder if mankind is predisposed to self-destruct. That there may be some genetic disposition that programs some of us not to think about life outside the box. That there is comfort in believing what has been downloaded into our psyche from birth--that God will make all things right at the end of times--that Satan is the root of all evil or that we are simply on our own and there isn't a heaven or hell. I think that if all was bright and beautiful in the world we wouldn't know pain, we wouldn't know that there are people dying all over the world in the name of big business and money (perhaps we need this pain in order to evolve as a species, I don't honestly know.) Most wars are comitted in the name of democracy and religion and oppositions of politics. If you peel away the layers you'll see that war is the tool that is used to control the populations in the world while making money from the builders of weaponery, planes, ships, high tech spying etc. (Major segue here)

When it comes to belief systems, I believe that for some their identity, their sense of self are one in the same. When challenged to think of others beliefs, and truly understand what motivates them to extremes at times to prove that what they believe is the ultimate truth validates their actions or in actions--in some parts of the world challenging someone's beliefs and identity can costs you your life. It would be a wonderful thing if people could just live and let live but that is not the case. I spend half of the year in Belfast, Northern Ireland and I still find it difficult at times to understand the conflicts between the Catholics and the Prostestants;its like a battle of the Gods. It is not as bad as it was during the struggles for separation from British rule but it is still there. I have friends that are on both sides of this religious and identity paradox. It is a beautiful country and the people are unique and wonderful. To date I have not personally experienced any racisim when there, I've experience the opposite and have been embraced by some of the people who are my friends and ex-lover from Belfast. No matter how long we live as a species there will always be conflicts and eruptions of chaos in the world and all of it man made but there is also breath halting things in this world and when we experience it its almost makes the pain understandable but seldom exceptable--but as you know there has to be a balance within the polarity otherwise whats the point? This concludes my ramblin comment.
