The Power of One
One God who loves us. One Jesus who died for us. One Holy Spirit that lives in each of us. One seed small and fragile. [This seed could be the seed of the ways Christian Life you plant.] But look at what it has to produce. Remarkable when you think of how a forest begins. From one seed, from the power of oneness [Spirit Unity of Mind, Will and Emotion] and in the Christian life the power of one Holy Spirit united with our human spirit. God has the power to build something remarkable.
Think of how many you influence each day, respond to at work, home, community and in church. Each of us has the opportunity to influence what people believe, we have the potential to make a difference in peoples’ lives.
It takes the understanding of God’s purpose in our life, what he wants for us, a knowledge of the truth, yielding our rights, expectations to the Lord, cleansing our lives, acceptance of the unchangeable, getting a clear conscience, accepting God’s design, getting under proper authority, humbling ourselves before the Lord and recognizing we are sinners, confess verbally with our mouth to the Lord and know that Jesus was the payment for our sins. The blood of Christ washed and cleansed us; He rose from the dead and now lives within a Christian.
Each Christian has the potential to contribute to the growth of the kingdom of heaven. By living in Spirit, in Truth, sharing the Gospel, witnessing to others, equipping and maturing in Christ.
Each time one of us Christians talks about Christianity, and shares how God has worked in our lives, we say something about the characteristics of God. What He is like and what He stands for. We can show that we believe in the Living and Risen Lord Jesus Christ and bring others to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
All Christians have a stake in the body of Christ. When it belongs to you, you are more likely to take care of it. You study the Word, you pray and fast, you give up your life for Christ and picture yourself crucified with Him.
The Christian alone looks small and perhaps not very strong. But when the seed is equipped with the principles and you allow it to thrive in the maturity in Christ, you can reach full potential. And with Fellowship, we can make a difference in many lives.
