“In the beginning of creation, when God made heaven (mind) and earth (matter-energy)” (Genesis 1:1-2, NEB), there was only Spirit.
During the Sundering, a fraction of Spirit divided into mind and matter-energy. Therefore, the universe and nature effectively comprises three components, namely: Spirit, mind, and matter-energy.
These three components each have their own characteristics (the three Gunas of Maya: Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas in Sanskrit), namely:
Spirit is:
- Inactive
- Conscious
- Creative
- The Law
- Love, attraction
- Will
- Happiness
- Balance
- Order
- Equanimity
- Judgement
- The source of Good
- White Light
Mind is:
- Active ('Positive')
- Thought
- Imaginative
- Sensation
- Learning
- (Plato’s) Forms, (Goethe’s) Urorganismus, patterns, templates
- Desire
- Force
- Movement
- Repulsion
- Restlessness
- Passion
- The source of Evil
- Abstract
- Ultraviolet light - Life
Matter-energy is:
- Active ('Negative')
- Feeling, emotion
- Insipid
- Space-time
- Plastic
- Massive (it has mass and (energy) fields like gravitation, electromagnetism, and weak and strong forces)
- Inertia
- Fear
- Laziness
- Stupidity
- The source of Bad
- Concrete
- Infrared light – Darkness, the Abyss
Information is a notable difference between at least two pieces of data (facts, figures, sensations, symbols, quantities, forms, sizes, etc.). Information is not matter-energy; information is mental, but information can be imbedded into, represented by, matter-energy, as an algorithm is imbedded in a computer’s memory and CPU. However, information is not an integral part of the computer hardware it is software. Without mind, there is no information. Without mind, there is no memory, knowledge, or awareness. [See my essay, The Genesis of Matter and Consciousness.]
Thus, ‘0’ and this ‘1’ are not information they are merely data. Symbols of a (mental) idea. If we mentally compare the two symbols (data), we can say that ‘0 < 1’. This is information. Mind took some abstract ideas (two bits of data) compared them and then made an abstract deduction to create information – i.e. ‘0’ is smaller than ‘1’.
Thus, Spirit created mind and matter-energy and consequently mind creates information. However, because mind is so inventive it can also create evil.
Without mind, there is no evil. Evil comes exclusively from mind. There is no evil in Spirit or matter-energy. Matter-energy can do bad things to you, but it is not evil deeds. Only mind can be evil to you!
There is no such thing as your mind and my mind; there is only mind. Mind, like matter-energy, is universal and is everywhere. That is why mathematics, a purely mental artefact, describes nature so well. (See The Noösphere, the Internet, and Other Related Concepts: An Interlinked System.)
Living organisms have bodies (matter-energy) and souls (Spirit and mind), hardware and software components (similar to computers). Therefore, all living organisms contain within themselves Good, evil, and bad facets.
It is our responsibility to help the Good to defeat the evil in us and to keep the bad around us in check.
Take note of this information and use it wisely.
