Dearest Victoria,
You are truly gifted! I am so very impressed with your ability to work with words. You create such precise imagery with your description. Well penned.
Paix et amour,
Nicole
This one hits home Vick as I prepared to go to my Aunts funeral on Sat and have just heard my step-brother will not be long on this earth either...but as the poem and the good Mr. Campbell suggests they will live on in the hearts of many who loved them.

Eulogizing something lost in poetry is self-healing, death of our loved ones, family and broken relationships cast to exile and pine boxes are carthartic as well as granite and marble headstones marking a life which once walked upon this plane of life...pallbearers witness to the weight in their hands, pagans with the feel of rebirth in our hands...soul lives on as we bury with either bodies or other "dead things", items of reincarnation of the afterlife...trumpets or elk bugles, a send-off of Ebony's Grave...
