the silence of the muse
the riddle they confuse
hark inside the Nightingale
slumbers softly new born quail...
One Last Quill to Thrill the Feral Plighted Rue
Oh sweet Eden’s mystery …twilling delectations flue
My thoughts a jest in perfumeries painted hue
Along the slim shiny veneers into death knell’s tears
Through the foresting secrets your vision appears
The landscape clods as burlesqued perfection evades
Into the twilight hours of eventide’s blighted brigades
Gloaming dawn into the fawning upon sun swept dusk
Oh carrousel the muses of broken dreamer’s dreams we must
Plucking scriptures scripts deep in mindful thought
And rose petals beneath the ivy vines and thorny briar caught
The view we knew from time hence we blindly made
Save yourself sweet surrender …save all that was ever made
Sweet sweet selectorial addictions delight
Save yourself from morning into marrows forth wrought night
Pearlescent moon beams waning farewells martyred high
Across the starry stardoms of infinity borrowed by and by
The raven soars to nighted blight
Seekers must before perils dim quipped plight
Kiss me thee…sweet hours into the musk of lover’s rue
Ornate and starlight fire’s cast aflame burning reflections blue
We the endearments to the sensorial gifting muse
The vibrant dancers where nudity evermore will accuse
Muses and muses dancing word verbatim sweet sweetest delight
Kissed and wept till marrows burrowed far side’s savory sight
Oh goddess and gods of sacred nights so blighted nigh
Crimson and clover fields whisper to your fluttering fireflies
Engage before these burrows bury deep so deep the sleep
Weep not sweet child of scalded mornings haling briars steep…
Oh sweetest twilling of delectations flue
One last quill to thrill the feral plighted rue
Barely a thoughted thought escapes the cunning shrew
From pursing lips pressed to part my heart for you…

|Vickie, your artistic creations still shine so brightly - "engage before these burrows bury deep so deep the sleep" has a fated undertone that I empathize with - may your quill continue to dip into the well of beautiful poetry - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael|

|Your quilled pen has rendered beautiful fields
of crimson and clover whispers to your fluttering fireflies.
