The truth has to be said as it is.

The truth has to be said

Every week thousands of Arabs, Muslim and Christian civilians are being killed by other Muslims, in Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Kurds are killed by Turks and now in Syria tens of thousands of civilians are killed, not by the Jews or by Israelis but by their own brothers, while the world and their fellow Muslims remain silent observers.

The biggest problem for Israel is to be a democratic state. No one is blaming Iran with Amadinejad, or any other Arab or Muslim country, despite all the disorder and all the turmoil.

The irony is that Iran, Hizbullah and Hamas – not exactly champions of women’s rights - want to return the world to the middle ages. They don’t let their women dress, work or express themselves freely. These women live in subjugation, and sometimes without basic rights and subject to violence. If they want to make a demonstration, just to show the world how bad the Israelis are, etc – precisely those regimes are the ones organizing the women as propaganda tools against Israel.

I don’t want to enter into the so-called spontaneous Arab revolutions, as I know very well that those revolutions were not spontaneous. In my view they were carefully planned and prepared with the discreet guidance of our president Obama’s envoys. At the same time, he has given more weaponry to Israel, as he said in many of his speeches. This of course, in order to keep the American Jews calm, as they have been good Democrats for many generations. As they are honest people, they cannot imagine that an elected American president and a Democrat could be with them and against them at the same time or against the country they love, Israel. I as a Jew cannot talk with my fellow Jews about this subject. I came here fourthly years ago and brought thousands of buyers from around the world to shop and enjoy the freedom America has.

I wanted to enjoy the American freedom of expression. But this freedom became almost a taboo. No one should criticize or doubt the sincerity of our president. When he was elected, I wrote a nice article hoping that Obama would unify the country as he said during his campaign. But as Senator Rubio put it recently, “President Obama divided the country and divided even the Hispanic communities among them.”  When he went to Cairo to address the young Egyptians, I realize that his speech was different from what I first thought.

After taking a closer look at the speech, I understood that the speech was planned to reach out to the Muslims, more than to the secular Arabs. In his speech he mentioned many times how in fact he saw the United States. For example, he said, “That is why the U.S. government has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to wear the hijab, and to punish those who would deny it.” In this sentence, I don’t believe that our president wanted to show to the common Arab that we are tolerant. In reality the American people are tolerant, but in this case he particularly wanted to please the religious Muslims (The Muslim Brotherhood). After his speech he didn’t visit President Mubarak, but only other Muslim personalities. By doing so he surrounded Israel with countries who became suddenly enemies.

That’s how I see It. Sooner or later the Muslim Brothers will control the entire Middle East. In fact, he isolated Israel and the Jews. We should not wonder if the Israelis, who swore that they would never be a prey again, would use any power at their disposal if they feel that their existence is in danger.
