Last year in Texas a young girl was murdered by her own father because she was becoming too “westernize”. It was one of those “honor killings.”
The father intentionally hit her with his own car and ran over her. Indeed, a horribly insane illegal tragedy.
So, what needs to be done to prevent a reoccurrence of this type of insane illegal act?
Easy, all we have to do is pass a new law that bans the manufacture and ownership of all automobiles.
Think of it, no more children will be accidentally hit by cars while crossing, or playing in the street, no more intentional vehicular homicides like the above, and no more car accidents period. Indeed, we’ll all be a lot safer when there are no more cars.
What about police cars, you ask?
I say ban them too, they won’t be necessary. With no cars, police can just take public transportation to respond to reports of criminal activity.
But won’t all of the crooks keep getting away, you ask?
No, not at all. You see, all the victims have to do is get the number of the bus the crooks took to make their get away. Then the police just radio the bus drivers and tells them to drive to the nearest police precinct house where the crooks will be promptly arrested.
Yup, that’ll fix it okay…. Next tragedy!
So let’s make as many new laws as we can to fix all of the laws we already have folks. Then finally we will all be safe from heinous crimes. Indeed, a nice thought.
Unfortunately, more new laws can only prevent horrible illegal tragedies and events if everyone chooses to obey them.
On the other hand, if everyone were to choose to follow The Ten Commandments… perhaps we wouldn’t need any new laws at all.
