Imminent Threat
5/5/2010 5:43:39 AM
The multinational task force responsible for tracking the Qaidat al Jihad terrorist organization has just issued a warning to the law enforcement agencies of nine cities worldwide. Be on the alert for possible attacks! It is believed this small but dangerous terrorist group is in possession of a nuclear device. A member of the task force agreeing to speak on condition of anonymity revealed the startling news to a select group of correspondents. According to this member, it is the task force intention to stay as far under the radar as possible while investigating this volatile situation. She stated, “The last thing we need is a world in panic.”
According to the agent they have been following Qaidat al Jihad for over half a decade after learning their objective was to use nuclear weapons. She went on to say they had intercepted an Internet communiqué in June of 2004 confirming their suspicions. Qaidat, was in-fact working with a faction of the old Soviet Republic to acquire a suitcase bomb. It has been widely suspected but with little evidence that the Soviets built a few hundred small nukes during the cold war.
The task force believes they have traced three of these bombs to Pakistan. They are not worried about the original bomb; it’s the technology there’re concerned with. Apparently plutonium has a shelf life that would render the original useless save for the technology. The agent went on too say that her group was working closely with three world Governments to quell the threat. The reporter’s best guess is that she is referring to the U.S., Germany and Israel. Stay tuned; I will keep you informed as the information trickles down to my desk.
