Tip for Authors: When to start promoting your book. 5/25/2007 9:19:20 AM
Many authors ask, "when should I start promoting my book"? Or, they make a statement like, “I cannot start promoting my book because its not finished”.
The answer is.
1. Start months (6) before it’s published.
True it may not be finished, but take a look at what successful authors do. Most book promotional campaigns begin about 6 months before the book is released.
Some simply early steps will benefit you and we (your readers) will appreciate knowing.
Here is what you can do on AuthorsDen.
a. Post what you know about your upcoming book, TITLE, SUMMARY (indicate its coming soon!), DESCRIPTION and book cover or use your bio photo.
b. Post a brief article about your book, include a general release date, Fall 2007. and tell us what we want to know, why you wrote it and what it’s about?.
Books that are promoted early with related articles sell better.
Keep up the good work!
