Another Baby Succumbs to a Parent's Treachery

As a parent, I can't imagine selling a five-year old for sex to settle a drug debt. Why didn't the lazy sow get a job and pay for her drugs on her own?
Poor little Shaniya Davis, a gorgeous child who reflected nothing but joy and love in her photos. She was a child being raised by a sensible father and his relatives--who are now more than grief stricken; they're crushed. Because of his actions, I fear this father will carry the guilt of her death for the rest of his life. He's a good man who tried to do what he felt was right. He decided to give his ex-wife a chance to bond with their daughter.
He had full custody of Shaniya after her mother proved to be unfit in court. Now, after several years have passed, he felt his wife was now fit to resume her duties as Shaniya's mother. Life sure dealt this loving father a terrible blow, along with his other children and his relatives. The mother proved to be just as monstrous at heart as she always was.
The only good thing that came out of this tragedy was the fact that the M.E.'s office and the police now admit she was raped. I waited days to hear this information. After all, the man she was turned over to took her to a motel. I don't exactly believe he was reading children's books to her. Shaniya was turned over as a sex object.
In my heart I pray these two--the rapist/murderer and Shaniya's mother spend live without in jail. Knowledge of the rape will ensure that these two monsters are beaten and brutalized for the years they manage to survive in jail. Prisoners who are in for murder and armed robberies have one thing in common: most of them have children.
I don't think I have to spell out what happens to child murderers and rapists in prison; the torture and beating they are dealt at the hands of the other prisoners for their crimes against children. One child rapist who was in prison had his genitals removed by the acid flung from another prisoner. I call this poetic justice.
The reason these sort of crimes are appaling to me is because the justice system never really seems to hand out the proper punishment for this crimes. And lately there has been too many of them. Every day I read the news and fathers/mothers are killing their spouses and their children. Babies like Shaniya are being taken by the lowest bottom feeders on the face of the earth, raped, tortured, and murdered, and judges hand out lighter sentences than they should.
This is mainly due to lawyers paid from taxpayers funds who defend these grizzly murderers, often claiming they're insane. Well, I'll tell you what, a good whack in the head with a baseball bat will either cure them of their insanity or kill them.
This has to stop. There's more concern over the H1N1 epidemic when the epidemic of children being raped and brutally murdered takes more lives every day than H1N1.
