A Special Request To All My Friends And Peers At Authors Den
I have watched many poets come and go in my time here on Author’s Den, some moved on to what they considered bigger and better things; others did not have any choice.
From my own personal experience and from talking to fellow writers of the den both past and present I know that sometimes, talented writers do not have the necessary funds to pay their annual dues.
This to me is a shame for our site and others similar to it are often the stepping stone for new writers to learn, gain valuable experience and feed back and if even just be recognized by our peers…I am sure we can all remember the first poem we posted and our elation over the reviews we received.
The point is if all the members of the den could throw in $2 a year we would be able to set up a fund to help out those who might otherwise have to leave the den. I know the logistics of administering this will be difficult to set up and manage but I think…no I feel strongly that it is a worthwhile idea for us all to consider.
So I am just putting this out there to see if there are enough people interested to proceed any further with this…either way thank you all for taking the time to hear me out.

I have been getting some response and some helpful advise from people who have read and understood the signifigance of my proposal. AD was approached but basically informed me that they will accept fees from other authors willing to sponsor a particular author, but did not comment on my suggestion. I am still hoping to reach more members and get more offers of confirmation to help before I can proceed any further...thank you all for your support and suggestions. Fee
