How Deep is Your Love?

How Deep is Your Love ~ Prose

I am reminded of the song “How deep is your love” recorded/written by the Bee Gees as I type this. I am not saying that we are “living in a world of fools” but close to it. My question is this: how deep is your love for humanity and for yourself? The truth is, without the ability to love ourselves first, how are we possibly to love another. If we are filled with doubts, fear and unrealistic expectations, where is the “Win” for any of us? Humanity, or the lack thereof, is a path that has ups and downs and can lead to destruction; but when we get to know (Stop the Ignorance) our Brothers and Sisters, we will find that we all want the same things. It may look a little different to you and me, but the same non-the-less.

Back to the song, “they” are NOT “going to let us be” and I for one will be damned if I will for-go my G-d given right to soar, express myself not only in word but deed also. I will not be stopped, how about you? My truth is that G-d, Prime, Source, Allah, Krishna, Buddha, You, Me, I AM . . . etc have a specific plan for you and me. Will you walk it? We just need to chill out, stop the critical thinking, et-al, our expectations of others, they are who they are, on their own path and free to be. Leave them alone while encouraging growth (not your ideals or mine), simply love them where they are.

I have found that every color, sexual orientation, creed and Nation thrive, when love, understanding and compassion are extended and will find a way to each other through acceptance. That is not to say that I agree with every little practice, I do not, I simply do not condemn. However, I want them/you/us, to be FREE to be themselves/ourselves and the older that I get, the more enlightened I become. I understand that we are truly One, One race, the Human Race. Period, point blank.

My heart is heavy when I see the lack of respect for another soul and the word “Civilized” scares me too. I had this conversation with one very Dear to me, just yesterday. How civilized are we really? How in this world do we/ can we EVER think it’s right to cast dispersions on our fellow man, not to mention the BRUTAL killing of our children, yes, Trayvon Martin is everyone’s child. Civilized, you say? Wake up and smell the coffee scorching.

I guess that I, as a human being am disappointed with man-kind. (kind?) Seriously, let me begin to wrap this up. It may be unbeknownst to you, but you are beautiful, you are loved and you shine so bright. It matters not where you have been, I have been to scary places in my life too. They only enhance my Now, as I take the lessons learned and broaden my path to acceptance of others. When we live in the past, we block the now, forget about the future for a moment, it’s the NOW, this moment and The question remains, “How deep is your love?”
