The ides of March?

Has the Autumnal season brought me new challenges?
I love my computer, Angus, and my Nokia 9500 communicator, Scozzie. They are my 'personal assistants' in my daily writing, communication and publishing work of audio books.
Angus had a major heart/lung/liver transplant during the last week of Summer (Feb). Oops, I'm writing as a creative writer again - for those who didn't understand the last sentence - Angus had a new motherboard/bigger Hard Drive/ processor inserted.
Since Angus returned home, I now have big problems with software clashes with my CD/burner, with the windowsXP system stopping access to some 'unknown' software. And, Angus refuses to talk (syncronize) with Scozzie! Gasp!
I'm a creative writer and academic - not a techie!
I thought these new technological developements were meant to make life easier - or is it a local version of the Roman 'Ides of March' Down Under, where two of my three beloved Scots are feuding? Who's the third Scot, I heard you ask? Hubby Dave of course! At least he's communicating with me.
