There are many things in this world that seek to discourage you from living your Dreams, but regardless--Don't Quit. Don't Give Up. And Don't Ever Surrender To The Fear of 'Living' Your Dream...
There are friends, family, circumstances and tragedies in life that will all seem to work together some times to convince you that you will NEVER be able to live the Dream that God has put in your heart...
You're not pretty enough. You're not smart enough. You're not handsome enough. You're not young enough. You're not tall enough. You're not educated enough. You're not rich enough. You're not articulate enough. You're not serious enough.
Or, some may tell you: You're 'too' serious. You're too articulate to want to do 'that'. You've got too much education. Or, you're too old. Or, you're too young, or you're 'too' good looking or, you're too fat, or not fat enough! And the list goes on...
But the pecular thing about a Dream that God gives you, is that it won't die...
It won't go away...
You see absolutely no way of getting it done. Well meaning friends have told you that you're crazy, no way that somebody like you from your background would ever be able to do THAT. That's impossible, crazy! And, you agree...
Still, it just won't go away... Like that 'fly' at the last picnic you went to, the one you tried shooing away and chasing away. But it just wouldn't leave.
And neither will that idea...
As you think about it, it's something that, if it works, would benefit so many people. Maybe even change your world as you know it...
But how? How to do it? How to start it? Where tha heck do you begin?
The fact thet you even have the idea is no 'coincedence'.
'You' were given that idea because God knows that you have the intellegence, the wit, the determination, the resolve and the excellence to get it done.
You were hand-picked for that idea.
You may feel that there are other people better qualified to handle it.
But He picked you...
Why? Because He knows that you really do have what it takes to make it and get it done, and that with His help, you will.
Make the decision to get it done.
Examine the resources that you currently have available, and if they are not enough, consider what other options are available to you and in addition, 'pray' for more.
Yes, that's right 'pray' for more.
Many of us don't do that because we assume the answer will be 'no'. And in most cases it's not, 'no'. We just don't hang around long enough to get the answer!
There is a passage written in the Bible, the Book of James which says, "Ye have not because ye ask not". Once we unravel the Elizabethian English, it says basically this: "The reason why you haven't gotten your answer, is because you really haven't 'asked' yet."
We really do need to make sure we 'ask' as opposed to challenge, bargin or even insult.
"Hey god, if uh, you exist, then do this for me."
Kinda like a kid walking up to his parents and saying:
"Hey, Mom, Dad, if you really exist, give me a Benz for Christmas, then I'll 'believe' you exist. Sounds like a fair deal to me. By tha way. Make it a Red one. Seeya!"
No... I'm inclined to believe that that wouldn't go over too well with good ole' Mom and Dad, nor us either as a matter of fact, were we in their shoes...
Perhaps indeed a better approach would be: "Say, I appreciate everything that You've done in my life so far, even the stuff I haven't even known about. And I can't say I understand everything that has happened in my life, nor that I agree with it all. But I've made the decision to trust You. I've got a Dream in my life that I want to see fulfilled. I believe that You can and want to help me fulfill it.(Phillipians 2:13)
No matter how impossible at the moment it may seem...
I ask this of You upon the basis of the name of Your Son, Jesus...
Let's do this. Amen.
Then proceed to do what you can with what you have. And amazingly enough, as you get to the end of your rope, the end of your resources (and many times the end of your patience) there will come a break through. An unexpected source, an unexpected opportunity, with an influx of unexpected funds and unexpected help, that will be enough to push you on through to the next level and onto somtimes what appears right up to the next dead-end.
But, persistance, courage, resolve and ultimately Faith in the God who gave and entrusted you with that Dream or Idea will again break open new doors, new vistas, new opportunities and new resources, again and again until finally, your idea is no longer just a Dream, but finally, an amazing Reality...
