Back from Key West 11/18/2009 5:21:45 AM I want Florida sunshine again!!!! The Keys really opened up my life. I did a lot of meditations and talking to the Universe. I feel at peace and full of light and love. That was my main purpose for going down there.
All the beer and wine was pretty good too!!!
I had such a great time. Seeing the furthest point south of the continental USA was mind blowing. Absolutely stunning. The sunsets were beyond description!
All the people so friendly and attentive.
I loved my ricochet rides down Duval St. in the early evenings, and the clubs were just so crazy!
Sloppy Joes Bar was the bar the Ernest Hemingway frequented. I sat exactly where he sat when he would go in there. Here's a bit of trivia: He was talking to the original owner Joe, and said you run a sloppy bar here, Joe, you should call this place, "Sloppy Joe's"! and he did. So now every year to honor Hemingway's birthday, Sloppy Joe's has a look a like contest. That should be a trip to see!
The focus of my trip was the speed boat races. OMG I have never seen such beautiful boats before. The one that won most of all of the races was sponsored by Geico Insurance, It was a beauty!!
There were a lot of men available down there, but I don't do that stuff when I am on holiday. I could have gotten picked up by at least 4 women, that was a wild time for sure. lol
So all in all I had a pretty whirlwind of a time in Key West.
Glad to be home, and now it's back to my crazy schedule. I am doing "Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas" and A Servant of Two Masters in December. Then in January I do the Complete works of William Shakespeare (abridged of course) I am working with a NYC director on this one. Back to the costuming world.
Have a beautiful day!
Peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"
