Out of the Loop 9/5/2009 7:40:09 AM Thoughts about preoccupation and losing my sister. It feels like I've been out of the authorsden loop of writing for soooo long. However, it's probably only been four to six weeks. I've been preoccupied with M 2 M - my next book. Then my sister, that I've spoke and wrote about often caught pneumonia and passed away. This all happened within a couple of weeks time frame.
For so long, I've prayed that if it was not within God's perfect will to heal Dianne on this side of eternity--to take her home to heaven. That happened on August 12, 2009. I stood by her bedside and told her that she had pneumonia. I went on to say, "Dianne, this is not good for someone in your condition-completely bedridden." I saw one tear trickle down from her one good eye. I believe that may have been the last tear that she shed and God wiped that one away. Today Dianne is spending eternity with Jesus. She is no longer trapped in a body that refuses to work but has a glorified body now!
About two months before Dianne was stricken with pneumonia, I dreamed that she came to visit and my sister was beautiful. She was healthy and vibrant looking. I told her this in the dream. A couple of days later, her 47th birthday rolled around. I walked into my church that particular Sunday morning, sporting a spiffy black dress with a covering of many colors flowing the length of the dress. One of my friends said to me, "My Frances, you look pretty today. As a matter of fact, you look beautiful. Just like a bride!"
Now, don't you find it odd that the very words that I told my sister a few months earlier came back to me on that day? I think it is quite amazing and this goes to show that God gives us premonitions, or warning signals--if we will only walk close enough to Him to pick up on these things. Otherwise we completly miss it! Know what I mean?
