To join or not to join....
Well after several months of avoiding the site I decided to come back and see what was new. I'm not thrilled by the fact i will have to shell out money to stay with it though being here a while means only a one time fee (thank goodness).

Still the problem i have is this site is very biased when it comes to what is popular. Poetry takes up over 2/3 of the site. While thats good I guess I don't write poety too much. All of what I put up back in august of 2002 was stuff that was written years ago. I mainly write short stories but if you look at the difference between feedback on my stories and on my poetry (poetry has at least 1 on each while stories have nothing.) it's blatently obvious which one people read.

Myself I think it is laziness. Most people equate poetry with being short. It is quick and to the point. Stories have the misgiving of wandering. stories are for when you can't sum it up in a few lines without it not making sense.

Still if I do decide to subscribe I doubt if i will ever post anything again. the bane of being an author, especially online, is that you get almost no response from the audience. still it is something to say that it is up, but then again everything here is also up on my aol account.

Ah well I probably will just to say I have one. Then I can leave it for another year and come back to more of the same.
