Ouch!

The first two books in the Beyond Reception series were rejected yesterday.
When you write as much as I do, and send out most your work, rejection is par for the course, and the ones most likely to be rejected are the publications you want the most. I gave myself about half an hour to mourn last night and then got back to work.
On the brighter side, both my Ebook novels are still on sale at Fictionwise for $3.59 and selling well. I have two nice publications coming out next week. Saturday, Portals will be at Every Day Fiction. Then, Sunday, Something in Common will be up at 52 stitches. I hope the Fictionwise sale goes through then.
Right now, I'm still working on the third Mantis novel. My publisher for the Mantis series sent all its authors a pre-copy edits checklist to go through for all their submitted novels. I don't have to do it for the first one, since it's already in the editing process, but I have to do it for the second, and it's taking forever. Oh well, maybe it will make the book better.
