Writers Digest/Evaluation of My Book
1/15/2012 12:49:59 PM
Last year I submitted my book to the Writer's Digest book awards. My book was judged in the category of Mainstream/Literary Fiction.

I was encouraged by the judge's comments.

"The writing sparkles with this author's passion for family history and for understanding the ways of the heart, and her compassion for the human experience with all of its ups and downs, especially in the area of romantic love. The author writes an engaging tale while always keeping at the forefront the joys and travails of putting one's heart on the line and making oneself vulnerable through the act of giving heart. An inspiring story showing strength of character and personal growth of two women, then and now. The cast of characters here is, individually and collectively, certainly strong enough to carry the narrative, which prompts the reader's interest in always wanting to know what will happen next."
