Disjointed Thought 7/27/2004 7:52:59 AM Strange day?
So what's new.
***************************************************
Greetings.
Well today was a slight improvment over yesterday. The workmen turned up early to fix the floors. It seems that it will be a two day job. The downside being that we will be without a toilet for a whole day. The available options being that we use the Neighbors toilet, (No, not the ferals), sit with our legs crossed until six pm, or do like they did it in the stone age.
The new Television arrived early. On perusing the remote control and the buttons on the Telivision, I believe I may need to do another degree at University, to learn how to operate the darn thing. On the other hand, we do have kids, who seem to understand these things.
Nelly the white rat is dead. Poor thing developed a large tumour on it's head. I am told this is common with Albino animals who are exposed to the sun. I have decided not to write an "Ode to Nelly."
Today number one son became a teenager. He has turned thirteen. He has informed us that he wants a can of whipped cream all to himself. We agve him a Digimon Game instaed. However as he will be having a little celebration on Saturday, I will give him his cream. Albeit that it will end up being sprayed all over his birthday buddies. Jeffery has had it a bit hard all his life. Born with congenital Retinae Blastoma, which nearly killed him. Losing his eye to the cancer at four years of age, and all the problems associated with lacking any peripheral vision. he has come out ok. On the downside, he still runs the risk of the cancer reapearing, and of course his tendency to forget and bump into things on his left. On the upside, he will never have to go to foreign lands and shoot people, and he likes to take his prosthetic eye out, in front of the girls at school. He is curious about all things scientific.
He has a most vivid imagination and asks questions al the time. Tonights question was. 'How do bnats go to the toilet when they sleep" After some deliberation he say " I know, they crap on their heads." I do believe he intends to pose the question at school tomorrow, without the answer. Just to see what his freinds say. Oh well, I'll just wait for the Phone call from his teacher. He may be a Rascal, but at least he's a harmless Rascal.
It was reported on the news tonight that two men were arrested for murder in an outback town. It would apear that there was a dispute over branded cattle, so they decided to settle the problem in the main street, with guns. After the ensuing gunbattle, one lay dead and two were wounded. Dosen't happen very often here, but it still happens. Only thing missing was a Corral.
Well it is now 1.40 am, time for me to retire to my bed, and dream of other things.
So until next time gentle reader, My your day be full of laughter. And may Love be your constant companion. Also slow down. Cemeterys are full of people who used to be in a Hurry.
Post a Comment new!
