A Sign of Maturity

"Mature men don't get emotional just because someone calls out their mistakes."
I find that what illustrates whether we have maturity or not is not the fact that we've made a mistake. Mistakes are going to happen. Our maturity level is shown by how we respond when the mistake is pointed out to us. If we're someone who often lies or tries to shift the blame or justify what we've done when it's clear that we're wrong, then we have some things to work on.
On the other hand, it's very refreshing to communicate with people who are genuinely humble and mature enough to make adjustments when it is obvious that it is time to do so.
