Why Bitching & Moaning?

First of all, why is it that the term ‘BLOG’ has basically become synonymous with Rant, or Rave? Anybody can complain, most do, and I have been personally ‘guilty’ for the better part of my life. WHY?
Is it possible that all of the negative programming that we have received as young children is the culprit? Is that why the split infinitives roll off our tongues so effortlessly? Could it be that a ‘Positive Mental Attitude’ simply requires WORK? You know, like: “Look before you Leap!” or “Engage Brain Before Mouth?” In short, one must actually THINK first, then speak, or do!
Almost everything and anything under the sun, is now conceived as ‘Possible’ – BUT – our pre-programmed natural instinct is to immediately blurt out: “IT WON’T WORK!”
Let’s face it – there are literally myriads of ‘problems’ existing simultaneously on this “Late Great Planet” we call Earth. And we all tend to spout, spit, or spew them out ad infinitum, right? Anybody can complain, bitch, moan, groan – but – how many of us ever bother to offer SOLUTIONS to these problems? AH-HA! My Buddy Will S. might say: “There lies the rub!”
So, just as a simple experiment, I decided to try to touch upon just a few of these enigmas, OKAY?
PROBLEM 1: Dichotomous thinking. Extremism – either one end or the other – Democrat vs. Republican – Liberal vs. Conservative – Black vs. White – Salt vs. Pepper – Ebony vs. Ivory – Do Everything vs. Do Nothing – DEAL vs. NO DEAL - Bitch & Moan vs. Suggest Answer.
SOLUTION 1: Compromise – Find a Middle Ground – Moderation – seek a WIN-WIN Solution – Don’t be so Damned Adamant, Biased, or Obnoxious – BEND – Honestly Seek the best possible solution!
EXAMPLE 1: It just happened November 7th, 2006 !!! One Extreme was in control for Years, the general Public was sick and tired of mere “Lip Service” and VOILA! The good Ole Greater Majority got off their fat ARSES, and voted against the incumbent SCOUNDRELS ! YAY! Now, for the next two years, the “new guys” will be looking over their shoulders, at least! HELL, they might even DO SOMETHING GOOD for our country? Only time will tell – BUT – CHANGE was wanted and needed, and the proverbial “Little Guy” now realizes the amazing power of NUMBERS! The “Silent Majority” finally got some ‘backbone’ and actually SPOKE UP!
PROBLEM 2: Millions of Senior Citizens CAN’T AFFORD the exorbitant costs of the BOON-DOGGLE Medicare Health Insurance RIP-OFFS!
SOLUTION 2: America NEEDS a National Health Insurance Act!
ALL THREE BRANCHES of our government – The Executive, The Judicial, and The Legislative –ALL - have known this fact and have bantered it about as a political ‘Football’ and knowingly BURIED it for over FORTY YEARS NOW!
The Insurance Industry has traditionally been the RICHEST in America, if not the entire world, for CENTURIES now! Almost every major building, complex, sky-scraper, shopping mall, and other valuable pieces of Real Estate are OWNED BY THEM – NOT BANKS! Most, if not all, are LEASED out, usually for NINETY-NINE YEARS CERTAIN! Generally speaking, they BITCH & MOAN about their LOSSES, mostly with auto insurance. BUT – they always earn huge fortunes on the bulk of their other lines, and now have been doing it successfully by PREYING ON OLD PEOPLE who don’t understand the complexities of their Contract Terms, nor all the expenses that are NOT COVERED!
CONGRESS could care less! El Presidente could care less! The Nasty Nine of The Supreme Court could care less! WHO FOOTS THE BILL ULTIMATELY? YOU! Meanwhile Insurance companies – CORPORATIONS – get bigger and RICHER!
This leads us to our next topic.
PROBLEM 3: CORPORATIONS and GLOBALIZATION!
They are BLEEDING US DRY! Good ole ‘Special Interest Groups’ that LOBBY congress persons into their back pockets! Why, pray-tell, does that sound so VILE? Truth Hurt? Factories closed, jobs moved overseas, Gas and Oil Prices CONTROLLED, Alien Countries ALLOWED to purchase AMERICAN PORTS – and more – ALL in the name of their one and only concern – PROFITS! EXORBITANT PROFITS! The God Almighty BUCK!
SOLUTION 3: NEW HONEST LAWS THAT LIMIT PROFITS VIA CAPS!
How high is high? How much is enough? How much growth is truly necessary? WHAT IF – some kind of FAIR TABLE were established? Like: say, 100 % profit is OK, but anything HIGHER than that gets SPLIT 50-50 – HALF to the government Treasury and HALF allowed to the corporation. THEY HAVE NEVER EVER PAID THEIR FAIR SHARE! NEVER! Economic growth should be enjoyed by ALL CITIZENS – not just the ‘Legal Entity’ that has USURPED more power than ever intended!

PROBLEM 4: SCREWING WITH SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS !!!
Another attempt for the government to get their GRUBBY hands on YOUR & MY FUNDS! Many years ago, when these funds were growing by leaps and bounds because MORE was going in (contributions) than was coming out, the powers that be did everything they could to try to BORROW or transfer funds to help their stupid deficits in other areas. BUT - back then, the courts and judges wouldn’t let them! Now, after I have RETIRED and NEED these meager funds just to live (like MILLIONS of other BABY BOOMERS) – Mr. Wonderful and his henchmen want to PRIVATIZE! HORSE-SHIT!
SOLUTION 4: DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT MESSING WITH OUR MONEY – WHY? BECAUSE WE PUT IT IN THERE ALL OUR WORKING LIVES !!!
Congress didn’t – they have their own PRIVATE plan that WE PAY FOR! Rich Oilmen like BUSH didn’t put it in either! ! In my case, 48 YEARS of REQUIRED Contributions! I had NO choice, now with accrued interest I EARNED – it is MINE, and YOURS, when your turn comes! Don’t F**K with it!
PROBLEM 5: Still Corporations, but let’s get a tad SPECIFIC!
OIL & GAS INDUSTRY – RAPING the American public – and Cogress says: “GEE, we know it’s WRONG, but we can’t do NUTTIN’ HONEY!” Don’cha know that we’re the WORST ‘Do Nothing” Congress since 1946, when Harry S. Truman coined the phrase?
PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY – RAPING the American public, but ESPECIALLY SENIOR CITIZENS, because of Medicare Part ‘D’ BULL-SHIT PLAN to make the manufacturers and insurance companies even RICHER!
GENERAL OVERALL TAX LOOP-HOLES for just about every major corporation, along with questionable Accounting practices, which allow them to HIDE exorbitant profits by ear-marking them as R&D Reserves ( Research & Development )! Just WHO actually follows these funds and ASSURES they are used for said intended purpose? Especially, years, and years, and years LATER? WHO?
OVERPAID EXECUTIVES – CEO’s, CFO’s, Presidents, Chairmen – How come they are ALLOWED to run a company to the ground, supposedly LOSE millions of dollars, and then get REWARDED with Retirement PERKS of MILLIONS of more dollars?
This sounds REALLY EFFICIENT doesn’t it? WHO SUFFERS? You got it, the good ole STOOOOPID CONSUMER – the costs and losses are passed on, aren’t they?
I could go on, and on, and on – BUT – let’s hold a few other dilemmas in abeyance for future BITCHING & MOANING – OK?
SOLUTION 5: SEE SOLUTION # ABOVE !!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!!
It is high time that EVERY: Company, Corporation (including LLC’s), Partnership (including LLP’s), and even so-called NON-PROFITS to actually JOIN THE AMERICAN POPULACE BY PAYING THEIR FAIR SHARE!
The principle of Capitalism is a fine one – BUT – its ABUSE of DEMOCRACY is totally IRRESPONSIBLE and DESPICABLE!
I don’t care who you are, or where you work, or who you work for – HONESTY and FAIR PLAY and JUSTICE – is SUPPOSED TO BE FOR ALL!
See, isn’t inserting a few POSITIVE suggestions for improvement a lot better than just plain ole BITCHING & MOANING?
