     Laura Yirak spent her early years in Scotland attending a very old and supposedly haunted Catholic school. The place terrified her but she loved the idea that there was a "Headless Nun" roaming the halls.
     In her pre-teens she moved to the United States. She spent her first two years in college writing poetry and managed to lose her entire collection. She knows it's out there somewhere!
     Writing is her passion! She is currently working on a psycho-thriller set on the Washington coast, a fully illustrated children's book, and a collection of poems.

DT: Wow, how could you not be a writer with a haunted Catholic Scottish school in your past? Can you share one of your most vivid memories from that time?
 
LY: I think that is where it all started for me. There were stories going around everyday to the point where I actually was afraid walking around the place--plus all the strange noises that just echoed about didn’t help matters.
 
The story of the headless nun is based on an accident. One of the nuns somehow got caught in one of the elevators and was decapitated. She was said to roam the dungeons of the school moaning for her lost head.
 
DT: Tell us a little about the main character from DELIVERED TO ETERNITY.

LY:Alesta is a HOT vamp--she never chose her destiny though and keeps it a secret. She tries to remain as human as she can by leading a life as a nurse and running her manor bed and breakfast.
