Here we go again …

The Party of No against financial reform.
The Senate is ready to cast a critical vote on Wall Street Reform today and reports from Capitol Hill indicate that things could go either way. Earlier this month, Republicans voted unanimously to block Wall Street Reform from even coming to debate but the people won that battle. Why are these politicians standing with the greedy financial institutions instead of with the American people? Well, the lobbyists have a lot of money with which to bribe the politicians. That could be one reason. The other thing is the Republican “just say no” strategy. They hope that both these things will put them back in power.
The House has already passed financial reform and today's Senate vote is one of the last hurdles to landing a bill on President Obama's desk that will help to ensure that the financial industry can no longer run free with no accountability, causing economic disaster. Over the last two weeks we've seen the Big Bank Lobbyists working hard to slip loopholes and exemptions into the final bill. They may have the money but We have the vote!
Now it’s time that the American People fight back against the lobbyists and demand the powerful protections that consumers need! Please call your Senators today and let them know that We the People will only support those who support U.S! The U.S. Economy cannot survive another collapse like the last one. If we allow Wall Street to just continue running rampant, that’s exactly what will happen. They have proven that we can no longer simply trust them to do what’s right. Tell the politicians that “We the People matter more than Wall Street!” and if you don’t listen, we will vote you out in November. Enough is enough already!
