That's What I Think

Good morning! Wow. I've been so busy. We are moving and are working hard to pack and clean so that the house is ready for when we arrive.
Moving can be so stressful! For one thing it is far away from where I am currently living and remote. This can prove to be problematic for me as I have driving issues. The roads are not more than a country path and they are winding and curvy. Town is about 7 miles away and bigger town is about 17 miles away. I've lived in this small town before. It was when I was on the verge of a panic breakdown so my memories are not good. Coming back here will be interesting from my new perspective.
When I was first here I was panicking everyday! Unable to even drive to our post office box (which was only 1/2 a mile away). Going to Walmart 3 miles away was a feat and if I made it I would have sit in the car to control my rampant breathing before going in. I panicked all day. I had obsessive thoughts and couldn't even eat at times.
I go there now with a new strength. An acceptance of who I am and what I am to be. I am stronger now physically and mentally. I am determined to make my sojourn there a good one and a happy one. My partner is by my side to help me desensitize to the driving and to be there in my weak moments too. We are a good duo!
So I am looking ahead to see how I do revisiting old and bad memories of this town. I think I'm going to be just fine. But as always, will let you know!
