child offenders in Florida

The politicians in Florida, again, are under fire. The most recent controversy is child sex offenders. Many of the counties and cities are trying to change the laws prohibiting these people from living near schools, parks, bus stops, etc. I don't want them in my neighborhood either but I don't want any sex offender living near me or my family. Nor do I want murderers, thiefs, or anyone who has been convicted of drugs, violence, etc. And though I don't want them living in my neighborhood, I don't imagine anyone else does either.
There is also a law they are trying to pass that only puts the person's name on the offender list and not where they live. What? No, no, no. I want to know where they are.
Where will they go if they pass these laws? If they pass these laws, all these people will do is hide and then we won't know where they are. I know where the offenders live in my neighborhood and my youngest is not allowed near their homes. If they pass these laws, we won't know where they are! We won't be able to protect our children because these people will just lie about where they are living.
If they are going to change the laws, they need to put these people in jail for life. Never let them out, ever. If they are a danger to society then they need to stay in prison. We must keep our children, our families, safe.
