I think when God has an especially hard assignment, He looks for someone who loves Him so much, he is willing to lay his life at the feet of Jesus Christ and do whatever He asks.  "Whom shall I send, and Who shall go for us?"
God asks in Isaiah 6:8 (chapter 6, verse 8).

Jeremiah 1:6-9 helped me when God gave me a hard assignment.  There have been a lot of hard ones, and times when I felt like I was the only one left who followed God.  But He was there, right beside me.  As I cried out to Him -- and many times literally cried -- He would lead me to His Word and replenish my soul.

I don't know why He has put you in that godless place, but I know He is with you, and His power has not diminished one bit since He breathed life into Adam and since He raised Jesus Christ to life again!  As long as you live, no matter if you feel His power and presence or not, He has promised He is with you.  He is with you in prison, and He is there --you are there -- for His purposes and His assignment for you.

So, Hebrews 12:12-15--"Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.  Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.  See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many."

I'm sending a poem  have from years ago, which I got from David Mains, who had a radio program when I was a young mother.  Amazingly, I heard Ravi Zacharias read it this week -- never heard it anywhere else since I first got it.  It's a sobering poem, yet thrilling.  I hope you are blessed by it.

Also sending pages from a newsletter for prisoners by prisoners.  One was saved in prison and now preaches there.  Last I heard, he is still an inmate.

"The fields are ripe," (in prisons)  but only a chosen few get the privilege to be part of that harvest.
