Pundits Stoop Low ">http://www.mydesert.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=PluckPersona&U=bd0f4a7e9bff425da13af6902ada5a9d&plckController=PersonaBlog&plckScript=personaScript&plckElementId=personaDest&plckPersonaPage=BlogViewPost&plckPostId=Blog%3abd0f4a7e9bff425da13af6902ada5a9dPost%3a9f9f7f84-6d7b-4c95-b7f5-3fb05077ed0c&plckCommentSortOrder=TimeStampAscending&sid=sitelife.mydesert.com">Pundits Stoop Low   Posted 8/24/2008 10:34 AM PDT on MyDesert.com        Friday night, August 22 was a silly night with the political pundits trying to scoop the Obama campaign regarding the choice for Vice President. . .   The whole week was full of the journalists and pundits proclaiming the 'Obama Campaign' had done a terrific job at keeping it hush.  But come Friday night, the pundits and/or their staff were camped out in Biden's driveway, or they were following the car with Obama, or they were investigating the aircrafts at the airports in Chicago and Biden's hometown!  These pundits were insane, talking to anyone and everyone going in and out of the driveways.  HOW TRULY SILLY!   It's was a game for them! I couldn't find a serious respectable jounalist/pundit on TV that night reporting on anything other than lowering themselves into predictions and trying to puff themselves to be bigger 'know-it-alls' than their counterparts on the other stations.   Do they really believe that we sit home and breathlessly wait to see which of them get's the scoop first??? I found myself reduced to watching the evidence unfold regarding who was being the most obnoxious!       All of this has little to do with the public who can wait for the news when it's properly given by Obama at the proper time.  The pundits, who had praised the Obama camp for their ability to keep a secret, later vilified the leak of it a couple hours before it was 'officially' released.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that a special plane, or lights on in a house and cars leaving might mean something.  Who cares, we can wait till it's announced a few hours later.   The press is so obnoxious with their little games . . .  This is all about their ego needs.  They are so full of themselves and their importance.  Today it appears that good journalism is lost and the press has deteriorated into being nothing more that Vegas Odd-Makers with the news!  I am always shocked at how low the press goes to scoop a story that is about to be released.  Friday night the press and pundits looked so silly, so ridiculous, or hard up to scoop the news that was about to be released.           With the election around the corner, brace yourself for the pundit games, these Vegas Odd-Makers will definately continue their silliness!
