Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) quote 2/24/2006 7:07:26 AM “Distrust any enterprise that requires new clothes.”
I guess when David was running around Walden Pond in his old clothes he was pretty much out of it as far as polite society was concerned and he’d be pretty much out of it today. Can you imagine any enterprise today that wouldn’t require some new clothes? I mean, even going to the beach you gotta have a new thong and topsie, now don’tcha? But I get his point, I guess. The world would last longer if we didn’t use it up so fast.
