A funeral for a roach AND ROCK SHOCK JAYHAWK
You people need to realize why you haven't seen my 'thoughts' for a while is that I've been busy like learning all kinds of new things like this Astral travel. I mean I've been about these energy things in your body called 'Chakras'and how you can do some chanting and it can put you in this astral state and you can see yourself flying over your body and you can visit this place called the 'Astral Realm'where you can see your long lost relatives (looking forward to seeing both my long dead grandfathers). You also get to see things like the pyramids of Egypt or the Eiffel Tower without paying for an airline ticket. Just get in your 'astral body' and go. Of course I've been these chants like EGIPTO AND FARAON and while I haven't done any 'projecting' yet I do get some tingling sensation and my yogi who's got like the longest Indian name (lets just call him Ravi S) says that the tingling means I am approaching a state of vibration and am getting very close to where I actually get an OBE (out of body experience)
Of course I'm so excited and call my family and my father of course says IT'S ALL A BUNCH OF METAPHYSICAL HOCUS POCUS AND ALSO I SHOULD STOP WASTING MY TIME TRYING TO BE A MOVIE STAR AND I SHOULD GO BACK TO DES MOINES AND DO SOMETHING SENSIBLE LIKE BE A BANKER. But that's father and while I love him I'll go my way and he'll goes his. I mean he's a conservative Catholic college professor who doesn't believe in pursuing things like 'lottery career such as acting' or 'astral traveling', 'when we go we go' is what he says.
Anyways getting to my point the next day I'm just about to do another mantra in my yoga class when I see OMIGOSH A BIG ROACH RUNNING ACROSS THE FLOOR. I'm about to get up in front of the class and step on it with my shoes when the Yogi looks up and says kind of angrily, "Fifi you cannot kill that roach. It is a living thing and we Hindus value all living things Please if you want to get rid of it pick it up with a napkin from the kitchen and throw it outside." I couldn't believe my Yogi, allowing a disgusting disease causing insect like that to live, but I do get a napkin and 'throw it outside.' "Listen to me," I mutter to the big bug as I throw it into the Yogi's garden. You're lucky to be alive. If it were my place you'd be making out your last will to give to all your little roach offspring. You'd be preparing for your 'roach funeral." The bug paid the least bit of attention and ambled away into the garden
YEEEAHHHHHH JAYHAWKS. ROCK CHALK JAYHAWKS. About time we see a team from the midwest win a title. The Jayhwaks aren't the Buckeyes. What a miracle shot that Chalmers made too to force overtime.
A sad sad farewell to one of the greatest actors of all time, Charlton Heston. I mean it isn't like Easter without Ben Hur and the Ten Commandments. But his work went far beyond those two Biblical epics. Planet of the Apes, The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Greatest Show on Earth, Soylent Green, Midway.....An actor with such a commanding presence. Rest in peace Mr Heston, like Richard Widmark last week, another irreplaceable actor from Hollywood's 'Golden Age' who has sadly left us.
Omigosh 'Shine the Light' just shows why the 'Stones' are the most dynamic rock group of all time. I mean they're all in like their mid 60s and they are jumping and bouncing around even more than they did 40 years ago. Mick Jagger has more energy than people a third his age and I just love crusty old guitarist Keith Richards. You people who are aging baby boomers need to see this movie to feel young again and they play all your favorite songs from the past.
You middle aged baby boomer and gen x ladies realize the 'Valley Girl' just turn 25. I'm sure you all walked around talking like a Valley Girl when you were high school and college aged girls right? Fer sure fer sure and I'm shocked that 'Valley Girl' walked around saying OMG and lived in the San Fernando Valley JUST LIKE I DO.
MMMMMMMMIWANTTOBEARICHANDFAMOUSACTRESSSOBADLYMMMMMMMM. I can make up my own mantras to arouse my 'chakras.'
You people think I'd make a good stand up comedian. I'm actually thinking of doing it. I can't be a waitress the rest of my life. More than enough thoughts for now.
