Election Rules Need Changing

In your company, when you interview an applicant, you require evidence of job qualifications. Hiring is not a popularity contest.
In our political process, we isolate, in the primaries, the candidates who possibly may become the President of the United States of America, and our military Commander-in-Chief. And then we interview them in what we call "Debates" - but, what happens if the candidates fail to qualify themselves in these interviews? In our American political process, we go on to elect the candidate who wins in the popularity polls, even though that candidate is NOT in any way qualified for the presidential job. We desperately need to change our election process so that a candidate must be qualified BEFORE these popularity debates can sweep a totally unqualified man into the Oval Office. History, and public opinion, has taught us that Bush was not qualified for the Presidential position, and we are living in the chaos which has resulted from his red-neck leadership. We are almost done with him, but we are now about to elect another unqualified person as President. Do we need more chaos? We are the voters. We are the people who pay with our taxes for this governmental process. We need to change the election process so that our elected leaders are qualified for their positions.
