Brrrrrrrrrr!!!
2/5/2009 5:42:18 AM
I surely hope that you are warm and toasty ...

Now, for sure, I fully realize that Felix or Rose would laugh their butts off, hearing me complain about how cold it is here in east Texas this morning. I mean, those two live far enough north so that polar bears beg to come inside the house to sleep. So, let them laugh. Let them roll on the floor and have a good ole knee-slapping time guffawing under the light from their aurora borealis. That's okay. I won't hold it against them. They are still okay by me  :-)

There are only two ways to know if it is really really cold, and I will bet that you want to know what those two ways are. Come on, tell the truth ... you desperately want to know. Okay, since you've been good, I'll tell you. You know it is really really cold if ... when you are pumping gas into your car, you find yourself wishing that the gas-price was higher so that the blamed gas pump would shut off faster. And the other way? Sorta figured you would get pushy and make me tell you about the other way. See, I was right! Well, you've been working all night and it is time for shift-change. Your relief has arrived and the clock says it is quitting time. But you delay leaving work because it is too blamed cold to go outside. Besides, when you looked out the window, you are sure that you saw one of Felix's polar bears out in the parking lot.

Okay, so Felix and Rose do not really have a polar bear problem. I made that up (bad me). And they probably would not recognize an aurora borealis if it bit them on the nose. But, any old prop for this kind of nonsense ...  :-)

Brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
