I want to thank everyone for logging into my den. It is a great honour to be associated with others who love literature. I have been inspired by all of you and have gained a lot of experience on the way.
My writings are not mainstream, I am not very good at following paths. I tend blaze my own trail. I am quite surprized of the support I have received on this site. It is wonderful that I am not alone.
I dare to write about issues that are usually swept under the carpet. My latest book coming out soon, 'City of Gardens: The Other Side of the Fence' is certainly daring. What is normally suppressed and overlooked, I blow it out of the water.
I don't quite know if this is daring or stupid, but I firmly believe that some subjects are well overdue for discussion. This is especially true of how mental illness, addiction and homelessness has affected Victoria, B.C., Canada.
Many of you have reviewed my den and have shown support. I hope that when this new book is released that you check my den for more details. Soon, I will receive reviews and we will see how it does. I am just as interested as you.
Writing is a tricky venture. We have no idea of what other people think or believe. If you are investing in the project yourself, this may be quite the gamble.
It depends on what is in your heart that matters. Making money to me is not an issue. My message is far more important than my bank account. That is why I am donating all 1st year profits of each book in the five edition series to a charity that is on a quest to end homelessness in Victoria.
The only reason that money is important this time is because I truely believe in helping my community. They were there when I needed it, now it is pay back time.
Again, I want to thank you all for taking interest in my den. I wish you success in your ventures and willing support you in any way I can.
