Book Release / VHES Fundraiser

This event will not only provide awareness about mental illness addiction and homelessness but also participate in implementing a permanent solution to homelessness.
Sunday, March 1st is the big day. It is not your normal book release. Victoria Human Exchange Society is the non-profit oranization who will benifit from the profits of the book sales. The event will highlight VHES bringing awareness about the organization, their mission and what services they provide.
This is neccessary information so that the public knows who is receiving the donation and why. This is the launch of the 5 year awareness and fundraiser campaign that VHES and West Coast Literary Productions have joined forces to help put an end to homelessness in Greater Victoria.
By purchasing a book, the profits will enable VHES to continue to provide an essential service to the most vulnerable.
The event is only possible by joining together and fight towards achieving a single goal. This includes the citizens of Victoria as well. This is one of the main reasons for this book and series. It is designed to provide awareness about mental illness, addiction and homeless to the public as well as give detailed information about the current situation and what is happening to address it.
Finally, we will provide the information to provoke unity and participation throughout the region so they can help address homelessness with a permanent solution.
March 1st, 2009 will be a date to remember in Greater Victoria. We are hoping to make a difference on our streets so that all of Victoria can share and enjoy the beauty of this great city.
All three levels of government, service providers and the public must join and work together to save Victoria. The social deteriation has generated major disfunctions of our systems, ecconomics and public safety.
The event will detail some important and workable elements that can be implemented easily and at the same time be cost effective.
With the reccession looming over our heads, homelessness may become relevant within your own social circle. We may see a large increase in the number of homeless on the street in the very near future. It is safe to say that some of the audience at this event will become personally affected.
By investing in our future, we are paving the road for the next generation. Our children will become the policy makers, leaders and will inherit our problems from the mistakes we made.
We must put more time, money and effort into our communities if we are to save them from the social rot. VHES and WCLP invite you to help us in preserving our city and prepare a prosperous future for our children.
