Riley's On a Saturday Morning

It seems, except for a few like me, the weekend crowd at Riley's is totally diffeerennt than the weekday busineess.
For example: there is a group of volunteer firemen that meet each Saturday and talk about the business of doing business in town. They talk, and from my booth three feet away, I listen, and there is much to hear.
This morning the gray panthers met at the counter, planning their next oovert act. If I heard correctly they were planning a protest at the senior center. It seems they want more rock and roll and less gospel. They are led by a tall stocky guy in a plaid shirt, suspenders and a walker he uses that is said can out manuver (sp) the best skate board around. Then there is a seemingly innocent gray haired activist that has suffered the plight of Osteoporosys (sp)don't let that fool you, she has a keen way of looking you in the eye and telllng you what's what. she's a tiger all right.
The Libertarian was in this morning. How do I know he's a Libertarian? Easy! He has a bumper sticker on the back of his van and he wears a tee-shirt which says "Get the governemnt out of our lives" He is a short, bespeckled guy that seems to know everyone...umm, I think to myself there's a plot brewing there.
At the present time I am reading a novel by James North Pattgerson titled "Exile" It's fantastic read which takes me back to the 1960's and 70's, though the novel is based in curent time.
Just as I prepare to leave, a small white car pulls into one of the open slots and from this tiny car emerge four beheameths, two men, two women. One of the women seems to be ordering the rest; seems she's in charge. The bigger question remains; how do four large adults get in and out of that tuna can?
