It's Raining!

Okay, Where's the snow?
There was a mass media warning, about this impending snowstorm we are suppose to get here in Connecticut. I was all prepared, parking my car in the right place, leaving my windshield wipers up away from my windshield, just like a responsible person.
All it is doing is raining!!! Is mother nature really messing with us or what?
My son was suppose to leave Connecticut Monday morning, and the airlines called him during the NY Giants Game (wrong timing) to let him know that his flight was canceled for tomorrow. I am astounded, so he immediately got on the phone and called Delta Airlines, and they arranged for him to take a flight out tonight.
Amazing! Simply Amazing.
Gone are the days of 1 foot snowstorms and as a kid, we were thrilled to have a snow day. That meant hot chocolate, marshmellow treats, and snowbound theater. The television stations would change their line up to bring Shirley Temple movies, three stooges shows, or Jimmy Stewart movies.
It was the most fun when you got to go outside in your snowsuit and boots and mittens to play in the snow. I can remember one year, I pretended to be Dorothy Hamil on the pond behind my house. It was fabulous!
Oh Well a little of nostalgia this fine stormy night.
